Fresh Updates in Our Nashville Studio Airbnb: The Details That Make a Difference

When it comes to short-term rentals, the little details make all the difference. Today’s travelers aren’t just looking for a place to crash—they want a space that feels warm, inviting, and thoughtfully put together. A place with personality. A place that feels like someone truly cared about their experience. That’s always my goal when designing a Short Term Rental, aka STR—to create a space that stops the scroll, makes guests feel at home, and keeps them coming back for more.

Our Nashville studio Airbnb recently got a refresh, and I’m so excited to share the updates with you! These changes were all about elevating the guest experience—both in style and comfort—because in the world of short-term rentals, every design choice matters.

A Soft, Welcoming Backdrop

Choosing the right paint color is one of the simplest yet most powerful ways to transform a space. For this refresh, I went with Winter Sky by Benjamin Moore—a dreamy, soft blush that acts as the perfect neutral. It’s warm without being overpowering, creating a backdrop that lets the furnishings shine while making the space feel inviting and restful.

Mixing New & Old: A Space with Soul

Mixing old and new brings so much character and soul to a space. It’s that layered, lived-in feel that makes a space truly inviting. That’s why I sourced a gorgeous vintage hanging light from @gaslampstoo. It’s a true statement piece—the kind of detail that sticks in a guest’s mind and makes the space feel special. And in an online world where travelers are swiping through hundreds of listings, eye-catching elements like this are essential to making your Short Term Rental stand out.

Another vintage find? A stunning hutch that now doubles as a charming corner table. It’s beautiful, practical, and adds just the right touch of personality to the space. The best STRs feel layered and lived-in—not like they were plucked straight out of a showroom.

Luxury & Comfort: The Linens Matter

One of the quickest ways to earn glowing reviews? High-quality linens. Trust me, guests notice when a bed feels like a dream to sink into at the end of a long travel day. I upgraded our bedding with soft, breathable sheets and plush duvets that feel like a luxury hotel experience.

The king bed, with its woven cane frame from @FourHandsFurniture, adds to the sense of retreat, balancing natural texture with classic black-and-white bedding for a timeless touch.

Layered Window Treatments: Function + Beauty

Good design isn’t just about aesthetics—it’s about function, too. That’s why I layered woven roman shades with ivory velvet curtains featuring a delicate black embroidered trim. This pairing doesn’t just look stunning; it offers guests the ability to control light and privacy with ease. A well-thought-out window treatment setup elevates the entire feel of a room, making it feel polished and intentional.

Why These Details Matter

It’s easy to think guests won’t notice the little things, but they do—even if they can’t fully put their finger on why a space feels so good. A thoughtfully designed Airbnb creates an experience, not just a stay. And happy guests lead to five-star reviews, repeat bookings, and a thriving STR business.

At the end of the day, travelers choose short-term rentals over hotels because they want a place with a soul—a space that feels like a home, but better. Every detail in this refresh was chosen with that in mind. From the paint color to the lighting, from the vintage finds to the layered textures, this studio is designed to feel both memorable and deeply welcoming.

If you’re an STR owner looking to elevate your space, I’d love to help you create a home that guests can’t stop raving about. Because great design isn’t just about looks—it’s about crafting an experience that keeps people coming back.
