Now that you know what the onboarding process looks like, let’s get into the fun part—the design process! This is where your inspiration starts coming to life, and we collaborate to create a space that’s functional and uniquely you.

So, what happens next? Let me walk you through it!

Once I have all the intake information from you—

• your completed questionnaire

• inspiration images

• space dimensions

I dive into the creative process. I spend time with everything you’ve shared to start formulating a direction that reflects your style, while making the most of your space’s potential.

Often at this point I’ll ask to schedule another FaceTime/Zoom call where I can pick your brain about the information you gave me during the questionnaire and in your inspiration images.

My ultimate goal is to create a design that not only maximizes the functionality of your space but also celebrates who YOU are through the furnishings and decor.

NEXT UP—

Building Your Floor Plan & Design

This part of the process typically takes one to two weeks, depending on the scale of the project.

The Design Review Meeting

Once I’ve completed the floor plan and design boards, we’ll schedule a FaceTime or Zoom meeting to go over everything together.

This meeting typically lasts about 45 minutes to an hour. I’ll start by walking you through the floor plan, explaining the reasoning behind the placement of key furnishings and how it all works together.

Then, we’ll dive into the fun part: the designs themselves! We’ll review each item in the design and discuss how the pieces relate to each other.

I’ll explain details like why I chose a round table instead of a square one, or why I opted for an upholstered bed over a wooden one.

Paint, Wallpaper, & Finishing Touches

I recommend using Samplize for paint samples because their large swatches give a much more accurate feel for how the color will look in your space.

The finishing touches matter, and I’ll be there to guide you through those decisions too.

Your Shopping List

Each design board has a detailed product list of all the items included in the design attached.

It serves as both a reference and a shopping list. Every item on the list has a “Shop It” button that takes you directly to the retailer.

Finalizing the Design

After this presentation meeting, you’ll have time to sit with the design boards and explore each product in greater detail.

The list is very user friendly! You’ll be able to click a green check mark for items you love and a red X for items you aren’t quite sold on.

There’s also space for you to leave comments or ask questions about specific pieces. And there’s also a place to share an image with me if there’s something you had in mind already for that rug, or piece of art…

Once I’ve received your feedback, I’ll revisit the design boards and make adjustments based on your preferences.

My goal is to refine the design until you’re absolutely thrilled with the final result.
