Boho Dining Room

In the Moody, Yet Glam Dining Room post I shared that mixing your dining table and chairs is one of the best ways to elevate your dining room. Instead of trying to match, compliment and coordinate! Striving for harmony between the pieces creates a curated and layered feeling.

In this post I’ve put together a boho dining room with a colorful vibe.

Grounding this design is an eye-catching dining table with beautifully crafted curved legs. It’s built from reclaimed Mindi wood with a natural stain which allows all the lovely wood-grain details to shine through.

I paired this beauty with these black, oak dining chairs that are a modern version of the classic Windsor chair. I love how the straight lines of these chairs compliment the rounded contours of the table legs.

And to center the room I’ve underlaid the table with a cheerful rug from Anthropologie! The fruity lime greens, the melon pinks, and the charcoal black hues in the rug set the color palette for the room.

Building on that color scheme, the toucan wall art is a match-made-in-heaven with the rug. The pinks and greens are the perfect backdrop to the black plumage of the bird.

The crowning jewel of this room is the Buko chandelier from Currey & Company. Crafted from coconut shells this gal gives off serious tropical inspiration.

No boho design is complete without plants, so to round out the room I’ve added a faux alocasia tree planted in a large resin planter.

Design tip—to make your faux plants look real check out my reel on Instagram for the details.

Next up in the dining room series is a Modern Cottage style, so stay tuned!
