An Easy Way to Elevate Your Dining Table Spread—Use Cloth Napkins

I’m a big believer in cloth napkins! And with Easter right around the corner I’ve been shopping for a fresh set for my dining table.

Sometimes I like the symmetry of using the same napkins throughout the table, but other times I prefer mixing and matching. Depends on the mood and the situation. Typically for Easter I like to mix and match. The variation of patterns and colors feel a lot like spring to me when all the new blooms and buds are beginning to show. Plus mixing the linens just adds so much visual interest.

Design tip—While we’re talking about patterns and colors seems like a good time to chat about dinnerware. I gravitate towards solid white dishes like these or these. White plates are just so versatile for every season. I can change up my linens and my arrangements and the white dinnerware provides perfect canvas to build on.

While I was scouring the internet for combinations I put together six different mix and match options to chose from. Which combination catches your eye first? I’m still undecided but definitely leaning towards one of the combos with the scalloped edged options.

  1. Cotton and Lace

  2. La Vie en Rose and Cotton Gingham

  3. Pink Floral Block Print and Blue Floral Block Print

  4. Yellow and Pink Block Print and Petite Gingham

  5. Scalloped Linen and Blush Block Print

  6. Green Plaid
