Who is Suzy Knapp?

I wear a lot of hats. But somehow they all center around interior design. From owning and building our luxury cottages business in Oklahoma, to designing and managing our Nashville Airbnbs, to helping folks create the home they dream of through Hook and Hearth, designing interiors that make folks feel at home brings me a ton of joy!

Helping my clients turn their spaces into a home they adore is a passion of mine. A home that makes them smile when they walk in. A home they want to share with friends and family. Want to collaborate with me? 

What is Virtual Design?

Virtual design is the perfect solution! It’s where I come alongside you online and help you create a warm, inviting space to call home.  

  • Here’s how it works:

    With my virtual design package, we work together online to remake your room into a space that you love. A custom space that reflects your own personal style and flair. In a way that works with your timeframe and budget.

    And the great thing is there’s a flat fee, so you know up front what you’re paying and what you’re receiving.

    My design style is full of color, texture, and pattern. Done in a way that isn’t overpowering, bossy, or cluttered. My ultimate desire is to create rooms with lots of personality and style that are approachable and comfortable. Rooms that reflect the folks who live in them.

  • Suzy is a DREAM to work with! She is organized, creative, thoughtful and has such an joyful presence. I reached out to Suzy for help in re-designing my living room because I needed help tying in some random colorful, boisterous pieces I had. Suzy went through with me step by step from measuring out the space and working on a Pinterest board that captured my desired look to choosing pieces to tie it all in together which she sent me virtually and plotted out on a 2D model. I loved my finishing result - we worked on such a fun gallery wall and the pieces we settled on are timeless and cohesive. I highly recommend using Hook and Hearth as Suzy made it entirely stress-free, inspiring and so much fun! You can tell she loves her profession and is extremely talented in tailoring each design to her client. If you want a beautiful house and to work with a genuinely wonderful person, definitely use Hook and Hearth!

Based in Nashville, Hook and Hearth design services are for folks who dream of having a home that reflects their unique lifestyle and tells their own personal stories. We work hard to help each client find his or her own individual sense of style and then to execute that look throughout their home. 

Our goal is to provide an approachable and enjoyable experience to our clients as we create a home that nourishes the body and soul!

Hook & Hearth brings a fresh, non-traditional, and personal approach to interior design. With over 20 years of both design and hospitality experience, Suzy strives to create spaces that are unique to her clients’ eclectic taste and that tell their individual stories. Because of this, she approaches every project with one goal in mind: to help her clients find their own personal sense of style, and then to execute that look throughout their homes.
